DELAY IN PAYMENT OF JUNE 2017 SALARIES AND ALLOWANCES

The University Management hereby apologizes to the staff of the University for the delay in the payment of June 2017 salaries. Management was earlier assured that payment of June 2017 Salaries and Allowances to our staff must be made before last Monday being 3^rdJuly, 2017. Monday came and went and nothing happened.

However, today, 6^th July 2017, we got remittance for the payment of June, 2017 Salaries and Allowances. Unfortunately, what we got was on 85% of Total Net Salary for June, 2017.

Based on this ugly situation, Management held a meeting with representatives of the Labour Unions; ASUU, SSANU, NAAT AND NASU at Nsukka. At the meeting, it was agreed that the Bursar should leave for Abuja immediately to explore ways of getting the balance of 15% to complete the June, 2017 Salaries and Allowances and to make sure that such incidence does not occur again.

Once again, the management sends its apologies to the University Community on this ugly position it finds itself.
