Dear All,
For your information, please find attached details of a recently announced CRF collective fund call for proposals for Interdisciplinary Research Hubs to Address Intractable Challenges Faced by Developing Countries. These hubs will be challenge-led and impact focused, and between £8M and £20M (fEC) will be available for each hub over a 5 year period starting on 1st December 2018.
Potential applicants must submit an ‘intention to submit’ on the RCUK website by the 29th September 2017 and the deadline for outline proposals is 9th November 2017.
Hub characteristics
Each multi-institutional Hub should propose a coherent and ambitious vision, and bring together an international core strategic partnership, led by a Hub Director (the PI) and strategically supported by co-director(s) who may be in the Global South and/or the UK, to conduct a world-leading and well-integrated programme of research.
Each Hub is required to demonstrate:· Challenge and impact focus· Interdisciplinary research excellence· Global partnerships· Organisation and leadership
